PYRRHON is an American extreme metal band known for their dizzying fusion of death metal, grindcore, noise rock, and free improvisation. Over the course of a 17-year career, they have earned a reputation as one of the most intense and innovative heavy music acts in the world. Their freewheeling instrumental interplay, grimly poetic lyrics, nightmarish visual aesthetic, and sheer aggression have secured them a seemingly permanent place on the genre’s cutting edge.
After a period of reflection and soul-searching, Pyrrhon released EXHAUST - their fifth LP overall and third with Willowtip - in 2024. Inspired by the pervasive burnout afflicting their home country, Pyrrhon delivered their most concise and direct work yet on EXHAUST, without compromising the disorienting atmosphere or technical ferocity that characterizes their catalog. EXHAUST conducts an unsparing musical examination of the many ways modern life in America grinds humans down to paste, with an album cover (created by longtime collaborator Caroline Harrison) to match. It has been met with the most enthusiastic praise of any Pyrrhon recording to date.

Making heads turn since 2016 with their progressive old-school cosmic Death Metal exposed in their Demos, Eps and split with Undeath and Into Coffin, Italy's Devoid Of Thought released their 40 minutes debut full-length album Outer World Graves for Everlasting Spew Records in 2021. Combining influences from bands like Timeghoul, Blood Incantation, Voivod and Incantation in a unique, bizarre and twisted vortex. Through 2022 and 2025 the band played several shows and festival such as Frantic Fest, Brutal Assault, Stige Fest, plus many European tours with Artificial Brain, one with Ad Nauseam and also supporting bands such as Beherit, Necrot, Suffering Hour, Messa and many more…
After 10 years the time has come for the sophomore self titled new record…
From outer world graves, where stars go to die and the effigies of distant planets are found, the portal has now opened toward a quantum leap, placed at the incipit of the end. The panspermic biodome is a colorful multiverse, awash in stellar life and boiling with transformation. Time here represents an entropic euphoria and is no longer a mortal clock. From a putrescent mire, a new form of life is born, endowed with an unprecedented shell, different from that of any known species. Consciousness is now ready to cross the cosmos once again and navigate through oblivion, until returning to a new beginning, in order to experience itself into many forms.
