Elsewhere, Butthole Surfers, Cro-Mags, Motley Crue, Napalm Death, Run- DMC, Sonic Youth, and Wham! are likewise coagulating." - Luc Sante "Beastie Revolution" introduction to Beastie Boys Book (2018)   The history of the Cro-Mags is integral to the history of Hardcore, it's evolution from Punk and the development of alternative music genres such as thrash, thrash metal, post punk and grunge to name a few. Numerous iconic bands from Metallica to Green Day, and individuals such as Dave Grohl have credited Cro-Mags with having a primal influence on their development.   The brain child of a very young Harley Flanagan back in 1981 (at the time 14 years old) when still playing with the Stimulators, Flanagan set out to start his own band. By 1982/83 he recorded the very first Cro-Mags demos constituting of 4 songs that would become the blue print for the seminal 1986 "Age of Quarrel." He wrote all of the music, played each instrument and sang. Before long he connected with Parris Mayhew and the two started writing music and auditioning band members.   After several line-ups, 6 album releases (beyond the original demos) and 30 + years of tours around the world, Cro-Mags remains one of the most iconic hardcore bands with arguably the greatest reach beyond the genre.   Currently celebrating the Cro-Mags 30th anniversary of the album Best Wishes (1989-2019) the Cro-Mags, with its founder, Harley Flanagan on bass/vocals, will be touring Europe to celebrate the show, along with performing the entire Cro-Mags music catalogue.  

Formé en 2004 à Pescara (Italie), les Straight Opposition ont joué plus de 500 concerts en Europe en ouvrant pour des bands monstres telles que Madball, Slapshot, Terror, Ratos de Porão, H2O, Million Dead Cops, Raw Power, Total Chaos, Rise of the North Star et -beaucoup d’autres.   Les Straight Opposition se sont toujours battus pour les droits de toutes les minorités qui sont opprimées par les effets du style de vie deshumanisant du capitalisme, promu par les corporations dans le monde entier.   Après leur première promo en 2004, les Straight Opposition ont constamment travaillé pour faire évoluer leur son, en devenant rapidement un groupe hardcore old school downtuned qui ne craint pas d’introduire des éléments noisy, groovy, et extrêmes dans sa production.   Step by Step (2006, LP, Indelirium Records) fut le résultat de ce chemin d’exploration et sa promotion fut soutenue par des dizaines de concerts en Italie et en Europe de l’Est. Il a été suivi par Gathered Against Mediocracy (2008, Indelirium Records), un EP de 7 morceaux très rapide, agressif et contaminé, et par Fury Stands Unbeaten (2010, LP, Indelirium Records). Ces albums, appuyés par une activité live frénétique à travers 16 pays en Europe, ont permis au groupe de consolider son nom en tant que point de repère dans la scène underground continentale.   Les Straight Opposition ont publié 10 Oz en 2013 (EP, Indelirium Records) et produit de manière indépendante l’EP Pescara Hardcore! en 2014. The Fury from the Coast (2017, LP, Indelirium Records) fut suivi par une énorme tournée qui a touché tous les pays entre l’Espagne et la République Tchèque et a été le dernier album avant la dissolution du groupe en mi-2018.   Après quelques changements dans la line-up, les Straight Opposition sont remontés sur scène avec Path of Separation, un nouvel album sorti en mars 2022 par l’étiquette Time to Kill Records. Le nouveau LP de 13 morceaux est un coup de poing dans le visage de l’irrationalité collective courante et un manifeste de leur vision sombre de notre temps. Les Straight Opposition porteront leur message en Europe à nouveau à partir du printemps 2022.
